Rules for Rudy, company SSO and starred warm paths

Rudy now follows the rules you and your team set about who to leave out, and workspace owners can turn on company SSO and provision members from their identity provider. Try starring warm paths on the Paths page first to build your own target list.

Heads up

Anyone setting account categories

Adding Customer to an account clears its Prospect category. The Accounts tab shows the change as soon as you tick Customer.

Anyone bringing in accounts from HubSpot or Salesforce

The suggested field mapping waits for your review. Boomerang's AI field mapping stays open in the drawer until you check it and click Save.

Everyone signing in

The sign-in page has a Company SSO tab. Company SSO sits next to Password and One-time code, and your usual sign-in options work as before.

Admins

The Slack card on the Integrations page is now called Rudy on Slack. Your Slack connection stays as it is.

New this week

RudyNEW

Set rules for the warm paths Rudy shows

Tell Rudy in chat who to leave out, such as a person, a company, a domain or every company in a HubSpot deal stage, and he turns your notes into rules you check and save on one card. Rules are personal, and owners and admins can also set rules for the whole team. The Rules page under Agent lists every rule with options to change its end date, pause, resume or delete it, and path panels show how many paths your rules left out.

PlatformNEW

Sign in with your company's SSO

Workspace owners connect your identity provider with SAML on the Security tab, pasting its metadata or entering its details, and verify your company's email domains with a DNS record. Teammates then choose Company SSO on the sign-in page, enter their work email and continue to your identity provider.

Warm pathsNEW

Star warm paths into your own target list

Click the star on any row of the Paths page to add a warm path to your personal target list. Turn on Starred to see only the paths you starred, whatever other filters you had set.

AccountsNEW

Give an account more than one category

On the Accounts tab, the category cell is a multi-select, so an account can carry any number of categories, shown as chips. The menu stays open as you tick and untick, so you can set several categories in a row.

Improved

RudyTell Rudy who knows whom.Rudy saves notes that a teammate knows someone personally or owns the relationship with a Super Connector, and brings them up on the warm paths where that person appears.
PlatformProvision members from your identity provider.Workspace owners create a SCIM token on the Security tab, so your identity provider can add people to the workspace and end their access when they are deactivated.
DevelopersLimit API keys to your own IP addresses. On the API keys settings tab, workspace owners list up to 50 IPv4 or IPv6 addresses or ranges, and every API key in the workspace then works only from them.
Boomerang CompanionRequest intro from Boomerang Companion, straight to Rudy.Request intro on a Boomerang Companion warm path card sends Rudy your request with that Super Connector, and he drafts an email ask when the Super Connector is not on Boomerang yet.
RudyIntro requests include your intro form.Rudy answers your workspace's intro request form from what you told him and asks for any missing required answers in one message.
Warm pathsIntro requests with several Super Connectors. An intro request sent to more than one Super Connector stays in progress while any of them can still help, and closes for the others once one accepts.
PlatformPick up where you left off.The Connectors, Accounts and Paths pages remember your search, filters, sort and page as you move around Boomerang, and show your last results while they refresh.
AccountsSearch an account's warm paths. On the Accounts tab, an account with more than 10 warm paths gets a search box in its expanded row, by name, title or Super Connector.
IntegrationsSearch source fields as you map.The source-field dropdown in field mapping filters as you type, and Enter picks the first match.
RudyRudy answers every teammate on Slack.Rudy recognizes each teammate who mentions him in your Slack, and his reply to someone who isn't a Boomerang member is visible only to that person.
Super ConnectorsMore Super Connectors and leadership paths.More senior people in your network are recognized as Super Connectors, and leadership-bridge paths reach more of their senior coworkers.
OnboardingPick Super Connectors while your network maps.During onboarding, you can pick Super Connectors as soon as Boomerang Companion starts mapping your network, and new connections fill the list as they arrive.
Boomerang CompanionMove the launcher where you want it.Press and drag the Boomerang Companion launcher to move it, and a click still opens the panel.
Super ConnectorsThe workspace owner in the right category. When a workspace is created, Boomerang places its owner in the Leadership or Employees category based on their current role.

Fixed

  • Path counts on the Accounts tab and the Super Connectors list match the warm paths you see when you open them.
  • Your own company stays out of your accounts and is never marked as a Customer.
  • Intro request details list only the questions that were answered.
  • The meeting brief in Boomerang Companion opens for every meeting on Google Calendar.
