Multithreading coverage calculator

Enter your own pipeline numbers to see how much of each buying committee you are reaching, how many deals rest on one person, and how many contacts you need to add. Nothing is saved.

Your pipeline

Your biggest deals

Your own goal for the share of each committee engaged. This is a setting you choose, not an industry benchmark.

What this means

Coverage

Contacts engaged per deal divided by the size of the buying committee. It shows how much of the decision you can actually see.

Single-threaded deals

Deals where one person is your only contact. If they leave, go quiet or lose the argument internally, the deal goes with them.

Where to start

Big deals that rest on one contact. Adding people there first protects the most pipeline per hour spent.

Adding contacts is easier with a warm path.

Boomerang shows who on your team, among your customers, investors and partners knows the rest of each buying committee, and drafts the ask for the right person to send.

Questions

Multithreading coverage, answered.

What is multithreading in sales?

Multithreading means building relationships with several people in a buying committee instead of relying on one contact. It protects a deal when your champion leaves, goes quiet or loses an internal argument, and it gives you a clearer view of how the decision will actually be made. Read more about multithreading.

How is buying committee coverage calculated?

Coverage is the average number of contacts you engage per deal divided by the average size of the buying committee. If committees have six people and you engage two, your coverage is 33 percent. The calculator uses only the numbers you enter.

What is a single-threaded deal?

A single-threaded deal is one where a single person is your only engaged contact at the buying company. If that person changes jobs, stops replying or is overruled, you have nobody else to talk to, and the deal often stalls or is lost without warning.

What coverage target should I set?

Set the share of each committee you want to reach, based on how your own deals are won. The slider is your goal, not an industry benchmark. Many teams start by making sure no deal above their value threshold rests on one person, then raise the target from there.

How do I add contacts to a buying committee faster?

Ask for an introduction from someone the new contact already knows: a customer champion, an investor, a partner or a teammate. Boomerang finds those warm paths across each buying committee and drafts the ask for the right person to send. See Buying Group Intelligence.
