Boomerang vs Vieu

Boomerang vs Vieu: an honest comparison.

Vieu layers each person's uploaded LinkedIn connections on its own business graph, ranks paths to the executive who signs, and tracks each intro. Boomerang maps four connector types from signals that already exist, drafts the ask for the relationship owner, and tracks it to the meeting.

The short version

Two close tools. The differences are in the details.

Choose Vieu if you want

  • A very large business graph layered under your own connections
  • Intro status synced both ways with Salesforce and HubSpot
  • Outreach and Salesloft in the same workflow

Choose Boomerang if you want

  • No LinkedIn uploads to collect or refresh every few months
  • Customers, investors, board and partners as connectors, not only your team
  • Published pricing from $80 a month, and Attio as well as Salesforce and HubSpot

Vieu leads on the graph: very large, and open for teams to build on. Boomerang leads on putting it to work: Rudy knows your business, your tools and your triggers, and brings the path to the rep before anyone goes looking.

Where the paths come from

Roughly what a $50M company is sitting on. Vieu starts from uploaded LinkedIn connections.

Vieu's paths come from each person's uploaded LinkedIn connections, layered on its own business graph, and it asks for a fresh upload every few months. Boomerang maps all four connector types from signals that already exist, so nobody has to upload anything.

Illustrative, not a customer figure. Boomerang maps connectors from signals that already exist, so none of them has to install or upload anything. Primary Super Connectors can choose to add their own network by Chrome extension or CSV.

How a relationship is scored

Not every overlap is a relationship. Rudy knows the difference.

Vieu looks beyond LinkedIn, adding board seats and shared employers from its own graph, and ranks paths by persona and seniority. Rudy weighs each signal for this persona and this function, and discounts overlaps that do not mean two people actually talk.

Vieu scores

  • A Vieu Score built from connectedness, persona alignment and seniority
  • Board seats, shared employers and mutual connections from its own graph
  • Uploaded LinkedIn connections for your own people
  • Direct, indirect and insider paths

Rudy scores

  • 80+ relationship signals, weighted by persona, seniority and department, not one overlap flag
  • Tells a real tie from a crowd: a hundred people who share one fund or one employer are not a hundred relationships
  • Knows which functions stay close at any size: in-house legal teams tend to know each other even at a 10,000-person company, where two reps may never have met
  • Capability times willingness: can this person get the meeting, and will they ask

Illustrative example. Rudy scores every path this way, then picks who inside your company should ask.

Data, or a colleague

A graph gives you data. Rudy brings it to life.

Vieu builds a very large graph and lets teams search it, run its agents on it, or build their own apps through its API and MCP server. Rudy starts from the other end: it knows your business, watches your CRM, triggers and deal channels, and brings the path to the rep, ready to ask.

Illustrative example. Nobody searched for this path: Rudy brought it to the deal channel when the trigger fired.

What Rudy watches

  • Your CRM: a new opportunity, a stalled deal, a target account list
  • Your triggers: job changes, funding rounds, hiring, new executives
  • Your Slack deal channels, where it posts the path before anyone asks

What Rudy does

  • Finds the strongest route in and the person who should ask
  • Drafts the ask in that person's voice, within the connector's preferences
  • Follows up, and reports whether it became a meeting
After the path is found

The path is found. What happens next.

Vieu from there

  • You pin or request the intro, with a priority
  • The Slack agent drafts a note to the introducer and a forwardable message
  • With Gmail or Outlook connected, it can send the email for you after you review
  • Each intro moves through not started, in progress, completed or parked
  • Status syncs both ways with Salesforce and HubSpot

Boomerang from there

  • Scores every path in, capability times willingness, across four connector types
  • Picks the internal hop: whoever inside has the strongest tie to the connector
  • Checks the connector's preferences on deal size, channel and cadence
  • Drafts the ask in the sender's voice; the owner approves and sends it from their own account
  • Logs the request, nudges when it goes quiet, and reports the outcome back

Rudy never sends on anyone's behalf.

Questions

Boomerang vs Vieu, asked and answered.

What is the main difference between Boomerang and Vieu?

Where the relationships come from and who sends the ask. Vieu layers each person's uploaded LinkedIn connections on its own business graph, and can send email from your connected inbox after you review. Boomerang maps four connector types from signals that already exist, and the person who owns the relationship always sends the ask from their own account.

How does relationship scoring differ between Vieu and Boomerang?

Vieu ranks paths with a Vieu Score built from connectedness, persona alignment and seniority, on top of uploaded LinkedIn networks and its own business graph. Boomerang reads 80+ signals and weights each by persona, seniority and department. It separates real ties from shared-employer crowds: a hundred people who passed through one company are not a hundred relationships, while in-house legal teams tend to know each other even at a 10,000-person company.

Does Vieu require LinkedIn uploads?

Yes. Each person's network gets in by uploading their LinkedIn connections file, and its help center suggests refreshing it every 3 to 6 months. Boomerang maps connectors from signals that already exist; Primary Super Connectors can choose to add their own network by Chrome extension or CSV, but no one has to.

Does Vieu send emails on my behalf?

It can. With Gmail or Outlook connected, Vieu drafts and sends email for you, and its site says you review before sending. Boomerang never sends on anyone's behalf: Rudy drafts the ask, and the relationship owner approves and sends it.

How much does Vieu cost compared to Boomerang?

Vieu does not publish pricing on its site. AWS Marketplace lists a $30,000 12-month contract for private offers, and its site offers the first 25 intros free through a demo. Boomerang starts at $80 a month billed annually on Starter, $600 on Team and $2,000 on Company, with a 7-day free trial on Starter. Figures as published in September 2026.

Which CRMs does each support?

Vieu syncs intro status both ways with Salesforce and HubSpot, and works with Outreach and Salesloft. Boomerang is native in Salesforce, HubSpot and Attio, and connects to Dynamics through its API and webhooks.

Can customers, investors and partners make intros?

In Boomerang, yes: they are three of the four connector types, mapped without asking them to join. Vieu's documented paths come from your own people's LinkedIn connections on top of its business graph.

No uploads to chase. Every ask tracked.

Rudy finds the warm path into every target account, drafts the ask for the person who knows the buyer, and tracks it to the meeting.
